ANISE
Anise is a powerful ingredient in many different alcoholic beverages. With its licorice-like flavor, it can be somewhat polarizing for people. But the taste is potent because anise seed itself is a powerhouse of health benefits such as: anti-fungal, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and may fight stomach ulcers, keep blood sugar levels in check and reduce symptoms of depression and menopause. We offer a range of liqueurs and spirits that incorporate anise into their final mix: Pastis, Absinthe, Patxaran, and Arrack. Pick up a bottle and join us on Instagram Live to watch Keith make cocktails and talk about the bittersweet history of these anise based spirits.Meeting: Friday, May 20, 7-8PM
