The world is an overwhelmingly abundant place. However, out of all the countries represented at Caravan, Italy holds a particularly special place in our hearts. Keith and Lenora both have Sicilian ancestors and maybe this is where a love of Italian food, culture, and cinema was born. Or maybe it comes from the infectiousness of the dramatic language and expressions and gestures that deliver us words like diva, aria, and brava! Actually, it must be the romance of the land. The Alps to the north, the Mediterranean to the west, the Adriatic to the east, the cyrpus trees, the lemon groves... (the olives, the cheese, the wine, the beer, the amaros, the bread, the pasta, the pizza, the fish, the olive oil, the basil... )We have a lot to talk about. For the next two months, Caravan Wine Shop will be using our Table Talk display to show our love for all things Italian. Small producer wine, beer, amaros, sodas, and antipasti can reveal secrets of the land and the history of the people. Through this we can see how food and drink have shaped this penninsula from the Etruscans to the present. Ingesting the fruits of Italy's labor reveals a particular pride that only exists in the firey hearts of Italians and tastes like humble beginnings and world domination all at once. Please join us and receive temporary Italian citizenship through taste travel. Andiamo!
